FAST Helmet

FMA FAST Carbon Upgraded version

TB1453

The translation of FAST helmet is Future Assault Shell Technology Helmet. It first appeared at the SHOT SHOW exhibition in 2008. The core technology of this helmet was developed in collaboration with the US military's technology center and GENTEX company. The following year, it was adopted by special forces operating in Afghanistan. The widespread use of UHMWPE ( ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene fibers), which is the first appearance of this material in bulletproof products, can be attributed to the innovation of the FAST helmet. The introduction of FAST helmet has changed the situation of helmet usage in special forces units worldwide. Currently, almost all elite units in the world are users of FAST helmets. One of the new concepts introduced by the FAST helmet is to turn the helmet into a platform that can carry all the necessary equipment for missions, including night vision devices, thermal imaging, noise-canceling communication headphones, identification lights, and flag patches. This helmet serves as a base, and there are also a wide range of expandable accessories and functions available, including face shields, visors, and counterweight packs. After more than a decade of development, the FAST helmet has evolved to include ballistic and non-ballistic versions, with three major branches and dozens of sub-models, as well as numerous specialized or compatible accessories.

As a classic FAST helmet, it is actually composed of three parts: the helmet shell, the night vision device base, and the side ARC rail suspension. The FAST Classic High Cut actually has seven different versions with different materials and performance, but there is not much difference in appearance. The first main difference between versions is the night vision device base. The FAST Classic High Cut has used two versions of the night vision device base: VAS and Skeleton skeleton. The side ARC rail has remained a stable and classic design. The suspension system of the FAST helmet has been evolving, and currently, the classic FAST helmet can be equipped with three suspensions: H-NAPE, LUX-OCC suspension, and LUX-WORM suspension. However, the most classic version is still the one with VAS night vision device base and OCC suspension.

The FAST Carbon helmet can be said to be the largest in terms of actual quantity in the FAST series of equipment. It is widely used in training and general missions by various special units. With its excellent helmet design and the good performance of carbon fiber itself, the FAST Carbon helmet has the same compatibility with accessories as the bulletproof FAST helmet and excellent impact resistance, making it particularly suitable for use in water missions, rugged terrain missions, and training missions. It can be said that this helmet is the optimal choice when bulletproof performance is not the top priority, which is why it is currently the most widely used FAST helmet.

The FMA FAST Carbon Upgraded version has undergone significant technological improvements in the helmet body, using machine pressure molds and high-pressure processes. This has elevated the overall performance of the helmet to a very high level, and the carbon fiber material used this time is processed according to military specifications, making a world of difference compared to the old version in terms of overall performance. The helmet as a whole, including the VAS night vision base and screws, has undergone low visibility treatment, with no reflective parts, fully meeting military standards. Paired with the trusted FMA professional suspension system, it can provide users with the best quality and practical effects.

The FMA FAST carbon is made of high-performance carbon fiber material. It meets the relevant regulations and standards in terms of low visibility treatment in appearance and safety performance. In terms of comfort, it achieves high standards in impact resistance and breathability by using a combination of high-quality EPP foam and LDV cotton. The OCC suspension nylon strap directly contacts the skin. FMA has gone through three generations of product iterations, and the current version achieves a balance between flexibility and firmness. The shell of the helmet is equipped with a hook and loop fastener of the perforated FAST series, which meets the personalized or identification needs of users. The front night vision device base and the elastic cord extending from the left and right sides of the helmet can perfectly ensure the safety and stability of your night vision equipment. Users can also freely choose and replace other styles of hook and loop fasteners, suspensions, or night vision device bases to fully meet their precise needs.
